Trip to the Holy Land- a message from Paul Rees, Methodist Minister
On the 28th September 7pm Amesbury Methodist Church there will be an evening to explore a proposed trip to the Holy Land in February 2018. A month or so ago I put an email out to see whether folk would be interested in going to the Holy Land. The interest was promising so I would like to invite you an evening where we can explore this. I have invited a representative from Maranantha Tours to come and speak with us about the trip. If this is something that you would be interested in then come along where there will be an opportunity to hear about the trip and hopefully answer any questions you may have.

This is a fantastic opportunity for all of us as Christians to make what maybe a once in a lifetime trip to the Galilee and Jerusalem. If you’ve never been you should go, honestly you will not regret it.

Paul Taylor
It is with great sadness that we bid farewell this coming week to Paul Taylor, from Orcheston. Paul is returning to live in London after several years in the heart of our community. During his time with us he has served as a Deanery Synod representative, a churchwarden, and treasurer. He has also been a great encourager, especially to the ministry team, and has nudged the whole community over various issues of social justice. Paul has raised funds for the parish and for charity by his pilgrimages, has slept out in the cold to raise funds and awareness relating to homelessness, and has taken on several individual pastoral situations with sensitivity and care. We wish him every happiness in this new chapter of his life, and our prayers go with him.
