God, who in generous mercy
sent the Holy Spirit upon your Church

always abiding in you, they may be found steadfast in faith and active in service;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Trip to the Holy Land- a message from Paul Rees, Methodist Minister
On the 28th September 7pm Amesbury Methodist Church there will be an evening to explore a proposed trip to the Holy Land in February 2018. A month or so ago I put an email out to see whether folk would be interested in going to the Holy Land. The interest was promising so I would like to invite you an evening where we can explore this. I have invited a representative from Maranantha Tours to come and speak with us about the trip. If this is something that you would be interested in then come along where there will be an opportunity to hear about the trip and hopefully answer any questions you may have.
This is a fantastic opportunity for all of us as Christians to make what maybe a once in a lifetime trip to the Galilee and Jerusalem. If you’ve never been you should go, honestly you will not regret it.
Temporary re-ordering in Shrewton Church
We have been given permission to temporarily remove 4 pews in the rear north aisle of the church, with a view to making a faculty application for their permanent removal. The space would be left open, in order to make access to the Books of Remembrance more straightforward. We also anticipate trialling the use of some new chairs, which could be used at any big service or event where additional seating is required. Please let us know if you have any comments during the course of this trial. Thank you.
