Sunday Evenings in Tilshead

Please note these services have moved to their ‘Winter’ time of 4pm (2nd and 3rd Sundays), starting next Sunday, 19th November.

Mothers Union Advent Carol Service,

4th December, 7.30pm in St Mary’s Church, Shrewton. Please bring a torch for this candlelit service. There will be a retiring collection for Mothers in the Salisbury Women’s Refuge to buy gifts for their children.

SUDAN CHRISTMAS LUNCH 6th DECEMBER, Chitterne Village Hall, 12.30pm.  Tickets £7.50 available from Christine Pearson 01985 850240; Sarah Gooch 01985 850893; or Virginia Pryor 01985 850255

We have been given permission to temporarily remove 4 pews in the rear north aisle of the church, with a view to making a faculty application for their permanent removal. The space would be left open, in order to make access to the Books of Remembrance more straightforward. Please let us know if you have any comments during the course of this trial. Please do comment upon the comfort- or otherwise of the chairs as they will be returning to their permanent home next week! Thank you.

‘What the Ministry Team is reading’

We thought you might appreciate some reviews and recommendations on books about theology, church and life in the community. But you are also invited to submit a recommendation for us to share in this way. Please send them to Eleanor and limit them to no more than 100 words!
