Can you help us?
For the past two years we’ve had an amazing time helping the children in Shrewton school choose a small gift for someone important in their lives. Each child chooses a gift and writes a tag, and then we wrap all the parcels up, and the children take their gift home at the end of term to give to their loved one at Christmas.
We are very excited to be expanding our gifting at Christmas event to Tilshead School and to GUL this year. Any leftover gifts, tags, wrap etc. then can go into our pantry on the ‘present shelf’ during the last weeks of December.
As you can imagine, we need to provide a large range of small gifts to make this work! In all this year we will need around 200 items.
They can be for adults or children, though in the main we prefer things for adults (mum, dad, grandparents)
The following are always popular:
• Treats (no alcohol)
• Gadgets (no knives!)
• Books
• Toiletries
• Small games
• Trinkets- e.g. picture frames, candle holders, candles
• Small children’s crafts/toys
This is the perfect moment to re-gift anything you really don’t need…
If you are able to donate items for our collection we’d love to receive them (at The Rectory, please). If you don’t have anything, but would like to make a donation so we can purchase gift wrap and tape, and any small gifts, please do use our pantry QR code.
